Fun Facts & The Declare Link-Up
Hi Friends! As some of you know, I serve on the team that puts on the Declare Conference—a conference equipping women to walk in their calling as Christian communicators—and our 2017 conference is only a few weeks away (yay!). One of the things I love so much about Declare is our amazing community of women. Each in-person or online gathering is full of encouragement and inspiration, and our annual pre-conference link-up is a great way to get to know some other incredible bloggers.
My answers to the link-up questions:
A bit about me …
I’m Jen. Wife to my best friend Jared. Mama to my almost 3-year-old (gah!) son Dillon, and to our second baby due February 2018. I blog about faith, marriage, and motherhood here at thejenweaver.com and love sharing strength with others through writing and teaching. I wrote A Wife’s Secret to Happiness to encourage and equip Christian wives to received God’s provision for their lives & marriages, and it’s available wherever books are sold.
1. When did you feel called to be a digital evangelist, what’s your main medium (podcast / blogging / books / speaking / social media / etc.), and how long have you been doing it?
Digitally as a blogger since 2012 and my book released March 2017. So my main mediums are writing and speaking.
2. What is your life scripture?
I don’t have one as of yet, way too many to choose from. I have a life worship song if that counts. 🙂 “All Praise Rising” sung by Sandra Payne.
3. What are your passions?
Sharing strength. This two-word phrase holds a lot of meaning for me. Sharing God’s truth and love with others so they may rely on him. Sharing from the strength I have received. Encouraging others to share what they have received from God, and to build community so we can support one another.
4. What is your favorite candy and / or food?
Does coffee count as food? 🙂 Candy: Ferrero Rocher chocolates. Food: tex mex or if we’re splurging, sushi.
5. Where is your happy place and what’s it like?
With my family. We’re in such a sweet season right now while Dillon is little and I love soaking in every moment. If my family could be chillin with books in breezy shade overlooking the beach, I’d take that too. 🙂
6. Are you working on any exciting projects that you can share about? If so, please share!
I love sharing my heart for marriages, so that’s still super active. I’m also brainstorming/outlining chapters for another book, and a baby’s growing in my belly.
7. How can we pray for you as you prepare for this year’s conference?
For health, endurance, and perseverance. I have some minor but cumbersome health issues going on that doctors think will stick around until the baby is born. I’ve set my heart to persevere and I’d love prayers that I’d stay steadfast in considering it all joy, and for healing.
If you’re coming to Declare 2017, please join the fun of our link-up. If you’re not coming, I’d love to hear from you too. What’s your happy place like?
