Happy Labor Day! I came across this image on tickld today and just had to share.
Not sure if it’s legit, but this message struck a chord.
Everyone looks for a way to relate.
Whether in friends, blogs, or superheroes, we’re drawn to people like us—especially when we can relate to their shortcomings.
Real life stories confirm that we’re not alone. My favorite bloggers and writers confirm that I’m not the only one muddling through it all. Even Bible characters give us hope as we read through their shortcomings and testimonies of how God still used them to accomplish great things.
So, where am I going with this?
Your story matters. You never know what part of your story someone will relate to. Perhaps it’s the crux of your testimony, your hardest day, a personal weakness, or your brightest moment. A small aspect of Drax’s character in Guardians of the Galaxy made a world of difference to a young child. God has an unlimited number of ways to use your story to encourage, inspire, and minister to others. Don’t discount what you have or who you are. Your message holds untold power and impact.
