It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1)
We are redeemed. Set free. Jesus paid the ultimate price, praise His holy name!
Yet even as I praise the Lord for my redemption, it’s easy to forget what I’ve been redeemed into.
Freedom.
We are not just redeemed out of our past sins but we are called into freedom from future burdens.
What burdens you ask?
All of them.
Galatians 5 tells us not to let ourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. So what burden is hanging around in your life? Guilt? Shame? Doubt? Or maybe it’s a new yoke seeking to enslave you. Comparison. Competition. Fear. Insecurity.
Are you faced with a troublesome burden today? Stand firm. Christ’s sacrifice was not for temporary relief. We’re redeemed to live victorious.
